English Sinfonia Enterprises will release a new recording featuring Janice Graham as Artistic Director and featuring two string masterpieces – Bartok’s Divertimento and Grieg’s Holberg Suite. Soon to be recorded will be Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for solo violin and solo viola featuring Janice Graham and Andriy Viytovych as soloists, alongside a chamber-sized recording of Britten’s Simple Symphony.

A further new recording of chamber orchestral works by Gustav Holst will be released worldwide in late 2006 on Naxos UK Ltd.. The recording, funded by The Nancy Hadwen Charitable Trust, features soloists from within the orchestra and is conducted by Howard Griffiths.

• DAVID COHEN as Principal Cello
• NICHOLAS KORTH as Principal Horn

The new website for English Sinfonia goes ‘live’ today. The site has been designed to be easy to maintain and easy to use, and to reflect the new image of the orchestra.
